Shared boat tours

Shared tours suit first-time visitors who want a sociable, good-value day at sea. You join other guests on a fixed route and schedule, with the same stops on every boat: the north and east of Comino with Elephant Rock, the Santa Maria Caves, Santa Maria Bay and St Nicholas Bay, then the Blue Lagoon, and the Crystal Lagoon with a one-hour swim and snorkel stop. A scenic cruise into Mgarr Harbour in Gozo finishes the trip. Caves can be explored for a small extra cost.

Four boats are on offer. The Ultimate Half-Day Tour uses a large boat with a cash bar, a rooftop sundeck, a waterslide and toilets. The Small Group tour takes up to 25 guests, with shaded seating and a cave tour included. The Gulet tour combines Comino and Gozo on a classic wooden vessel, and a sunset tour adds evening light with swim stops. Shared tours are listed from €35, and the half-day option lasts four hours. Strong winds can move the Malta departure from Marfa to Ċirkewwa, and guests are told in advance.

Private boat charters

A private tour gives your group its own boat and skipper, with the route and timing shaped around you. Two hours usually allows two swim stops of about forty minutes, often at the Blue Lagoon and Crystal Lagoon. Three hours, the most popular choice, adds Santa Marija and St Nicholas bays, and four hours or more can include extra bays and stops on Gozo. Prices printed are from €199 for two hours, from €300 for three hours and from €500 for five hours.

Themed trips include a family tour, a sunset experience and a honeymoon voyage for two. Romantic packages with a picnic, flowers or a photographer, birthday decorations and cakes, and catering for company outings can be arranged on request. Prices include fuel and the captain. Boats, skippers and booking terms

The fleet runs from small traditional luzzu boats to motor boats carrying up to 20 people, and the gulet. All are regularly serviced and fully insured, with shade, seating and a swim ladder. The skippers are local and share stories about the islands as they go.

You can cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before departure, and changes can be made up to the same point. In poor weather you choose between rescheduling and a full refund. Hotel pick-up is not included, but the team will advise on transport or parking. Transfers by boat between harbours such as Valletta, Sliema, Qawra and Mellieħa can also be quoted for groups, and nearby operators such as Aloha Boat Charters offer private trips from the same harbour area.
