Copper & Plush

Copper & Plush began as an online home decor shop in 2021 and opened its first boutique in Mosta in 2024. The range leans towards warm, natural materials: travertine and marble tables, fluted wood, brass candle holders and soft neutral rugs, all chosen to suit a calm, layered style of interior.

How the shop started

The founder came up with the idea while converting an old townhouse into a dream home. After more than ten years working in finance, she found that sourcing furniture and accessories gave her a creative outlet she had been missing, and she struggled to find pieces that were unique, well made and still affordable. Copper & Plush was born in 2021 to fill that gap, with products sourced from carefully selected brands and manufacturers.

The boutique in Mosta followed in 2024. The team takes pride in customer service and is happy to talk through your plans for a room, so a visit is a good way to see materials in person before you commit to a larger purchase.

Furniture, lighting and accessories

The online catalogue is organised into new arrivals, furniture, accessories, lighting, rugs, gifts and sale items. Furniture covers coffee, side, console and dining tables, seating, sideboards and TV units. Accessories include candle holders, candles, cushions, glassware, kitchenware, mirrors, plant pots, trays, vases, wall art and books.

A good example is the Gisy round dining table, a 140 cm piece in travertine stone and mango wood, priced at €2,150 and shown as in stock. The shop also lists marble pieces such as the Talix console table in travertine or green marble at €650, and smaller items like marble trays and table lamps. Natural stone varies from the photographs, so a visit helps you judge colour and pattern.

The shop works with the Danish brand 101Copenhagen, whose designs draw on Scandinavian roots and Japanese minimal style. Further items from the full brand catalogues can be ordered, which is useful if you cannot find a particular piece on the shelf.

Custom wall art and gifts

Copper & Plush offers custom paintings made to suit your style and your space. You choose the subject and style, and you can select the frame colour or finish to match the room. A sample of the work can be viewed on the website.

For gifts, the shop has a dedicated collection, along with a large selection of coffee table books on travel, fashion, architecture and cooking, many of them inspired by the Mediterranean. Visiting and delivery

Mosta is a large town in the centre of Malta, a short drive from the old capital described in our Mdina guide. The boutique keeps set weekday hours with a lunch break, a shorter Wednesday and a Saturday morning.
