Hero Gaming

Hero Gaming is a group of iGaming businesses, meaning companies that run online games and betting products and the technology behind them. Its Malta office is in a block called Baysteps Mansions in St Julian's, within the island's main business and leisure district, and a sister company, Hero Gaming Sweden AB, works from Malmö, giving the group a presence in two countries.

The group is listed in our directories of casinos in Malta and IT companies in Malta. It is a business-to-business and employer profile rather than a venue you visit, so this page explains the brands, the technology offer and the working culture for readers researching Malta's gaming sector.

Brands and products

Legendz is the group's free-to-play social casino and sports book, built for players who enjoy the excitement of a game without having to spend money. No purchase is necessary, and the brand puts emphasis on community, fairness and responsible gaming. A social casino is a games product played for entertainment rather than for cash prizes, and in Legendz no purchase is needed to play.

Mint.io is a different kind of product: an AI-powered Web3 gaming platform that focuses on smooth onboarding for new users and on real token utility. It brings together quick game development and reward mechanics, and the group presents it as an entry point into the decentralised economy and as a crypto-first casino.

Nothing here is an invitation to gamble. Gambling is for adults and carries risk, and the products described are those of the company rather than a recommendation from VisitMalta.co.uk.

Tech solutions for gaming projects

Alongside its own brands, Hero Gaming offers technology solutions to other projects. With years of experience in the iGaming industry, the team advises on a wide range of topics and uses its network to find suitable partners and providers. The areas it names are backend and frontend development, design, funding, legal advice, affiliate marketing, support, fraud tools, payments, CRM, social media, games, marketing, finance and VIP management.

This is useful if you are planning a gaming project and want one team to help assemble the pieces, whether you are a start-up founder, an investor or an established operator looking for specialist support. Our iGaming in Malta guide explains why the island is a long-standing base for the sector, and our overview of financial services in Malta covers the wider business environment around it.

Culture and careers

The group describes its people as Heroes, and it is built around three values: respect, dare and win. Respect means trusting and supporting colleagues and customers, dare means thinking differently and taking risks, and win means working hard towards big goals. Staff benefit from flexibility, career development and a culture that includes celebrating together, and photos of company events show gatherings on terraces and lawns.

Anyone thinking of working in Malta's gaming industry can explore opportunities with the group. If you are weighing up a move from the UK, our Malta relocation guide, Malta tax guide for UK nationals and digital nomad guide cover the practicalities, and CLA Malta is our featured partner for company, tax and relocation services. Recruiters such as Accelerate Finance and Legal Recruitment are also listed nearby.

Offices and how to start

St Julian's is on the north-east coast and is one of the most popular places to stay on the island, so our guide to hotels in Sliema and St Julian's and our where to stay in Malta page help if you are visiting for meetings.

Because the company does not publish fees, hours or a visitor programme, the most practical way to find out whether it can help with your project or career plans is to ask directly. To discuss a project or a role, use the VisitMalta.co.uk enquiry form on this page and we will pass your message to Hero Gaming.
