Sedalicious Beauty is an independent beauty salon in Swieqi, a residential district beside St Julian's on Malta's north-east coast. It brings skincare, lashes, brows, nails, massage, hair removal and semi-permanent makeup together in a single calm space, and it publishes a full price list for each treatment, which makes it easy to plan a pampering session around a holiday or a longer stay.

For UK visitors the practical points are straightforward: the salon is open six days a week with long evening hours, prices are printed in euros, and treatments run from a 20 minute lymphatic face massage to a 90 minute body sculpting session. If you are comparing places to unwind, our directory of spas in Malta lists more options, including AMIS City Spa, Beauty and Hair Salon.

About Seda and the salon

The salon was founded by Seda, who wanted to build a beauty business that brings out natural beauty in a healthy, hygienic and elegant way. The philosophy is that everyone is beautiful, and the team uses advanced technology to guide clients rather than simply follow instructions. You can say what you would like, and the therapists will also suggest the options they think suit you best.

The aim is a friendly, relaxing environment that combines extensive experience, refined techniques and quality products. Nail and lash instruments are sterilised, and the team keeps up with beauty trends and equipment. The salon is also recruiting nail technicians and lash artists, so it may be worth asking if you are a professional looking for work in Malta.

Skincare and advanced facials

Advanced skin treatments are the heart of the menu, and every one includes a deep cleanse. LED therapy is integrated into facials to make them more effective, and a stand-alone LED therapy session of 20 minutes costs €30. The shortest option is a 20 minute lymphatic face massage at €25.

The Personalised Deep Cleanse, at €70 for 45 minutes, adapts the cleansing process to your skin. It is suited to all skin types, particularly oily and combination skin, congested or acne-prone skin, enlarged pores and uneven texture, and it is designed to leave skin hydrated and balanced. The treatment uses gentle cleansing agents to lift dirt, oil and makeup, with deep purification, a smaller look to pores and balanced moisture as the aims. Longer facials of 60 minutes include C-Glowboost at €98, Hydrage Timexpert at €90, Black Diamond at €96, Pumpkin Cinderella at €105, and Hollywood Shine and Youthology at €110 each. AcnExpert, for 80 minutes, costs €120.

For more intensive work, the salon offers micro needling. The 3D version, described as summer friendly, takes 60 minutes and costs €125, while the standard session lasts 70 minutes and costs €175. Anything involving your skin is a conversation to have with the therapist before you book, and new clients can ask for a consultation to find out more about any treatment before booking.

Lashes and brows

Lash extensions are offered in a long list of styles, each priced as a new set and a cheaper infill. A Classic new set is €55 and the infill €40, a Hybrid set is €70, Volume is €75, and Mega Volume is €85. Wispy, Wet and Cat Eye variants are also available, ranging from €65 to €90 for a new set, and a lash extension removal is €10. Diamond or coloured lash art can be added for €5, and a quick fix costs between €10 and €25.

If you prefer your own lashes, the Brow-Lash menu includes a lash lift at €50, Botulash at €60, brow lamination at €55, a lash tint at €7 and a brow tint at €8. Brow work also includes mapping, which shapes brows by measurement, from €15, and threading from €10 for a single brow session. Threading is a natural hair removal method, with finer regrowth over time, and it also covers the upper lip, chin, face, sides of the face and jawline from €5 to €25.

Nails, manicures and pedicures

The nail menu covers extensions, hard gel and gel polish. A new set of extensions starts at €49 for short nails and rises to €65 for extra long, while a new hard gel set runs from €36 to €49 depending on length. Infills are cheaper, from €30 for short hard gel up to €46 for extra long extensions. A manicure is included with extensions, hard gel and gel polish, and removal is included with any new set, although extra time may add €5.

For simpler care, a spa manicure is €20, a spa pedicure is €30, and gel polish with a manicure is €30. Combined offers include a spa manicure with gel polish at €45 and a spa pedicure with gel polish at €55, and removal bundles are available if you are changing your set. Cuticle care alone is €5, a change of nail shape is €3, and single nail repairs start at €2. If you are swapping an old set for a new look, bundles combine removal with a manicure, such as hard gel removal with a manicure at €17 or a spa pedicure with removal at €39. Nail art can be added to any appointment: 3D art is €5, a French design €7, ombre €10, a chrome effect €4 and cat eye €3.

Massage, body sculpting and wellbeing

Massage is available as a 25 minute Indian head massage at €20, a 60 minute relaxing massage at €50 and a 60 minute lymphatic drainage session at €60. Buy four sessions and get a fifth free, or buy eight and get two free, which is useful if you are staying for several weeks. All massages use relaxing and rejuvenating techniques.

The salon also offers body sculpting treatments. Madero therapy uses wooden tools: a full body session takes 60 minutes and costs €70, and the lower or upper body sculpt takes 45 minutes at €50 each. Parafango, a mud treatment, costs €80 for a full body session of 45 minutes. The two are combined in MaderoFango, a slimming and contouring treatment of wood therapy and mud, at €150 for a 90 minute full body session, or €110 for a 60 minute upper or lower sculpt. Buy nine sessions of these therapies and get one free. These are beauty treatments, and for any health concern you should speak to a doctor.

Waxing and semi-permanent makeup

Waxing is priced by area for both ladies and gents. For ladies, full legs are €25, half legs €18, underarms €10, a bikini line €15 and a full back €25. For gents, full legs are €27, a full back and neck €38, chest €25 and chest and abdomen €32. For a comfortable session, arrive with hair about a quarter of an inch, or 6 mm, long. If you are planning a beach holiday, our guide to the best beaches in Malta will help you decide where to go afterwards.

Ombre brows and hair stroke brows are €300, Browlicious is €330, a Dipliner is €200, a Babyliner is €275, eyeliner and lip shading are €300 each, and colour correction is €150. A touch up at four to six weeks costs €50, and removal also costs €50.
