What is included in the price

The rate you are quoted already contains fully comprehensive insurance with no excess for damage or accidents in Malta and on Gozo, so there is nothing to add at the counter. No deposit is blocked against damage. Cover applies to drivers aged 25 and over, and it extends to windscreen breakage, the underside of the car, side sills and punctures.

The one amount held on your card is €200, set aside at the time of booking against speeding tickets and parking fines. If the car comes back with no fines outstanding, the hold is released within 21 working days of its return.

Fuel works on a full to full basis, so you collect the car with a full tank and return it the same way. Breakdown recovery runs 24 hours a day, and the firm provides a replacement car if yours is involved in an accident. Cars and vans you can hire

The fleet is made up of small economy hatchbacks, larger family cars, an estate and vans. Manual and automatic versions are offered of several models, so you can choose the gearbox you are comfortable with. Models named on the site include the Peugeot 108, Toyota Aygo, Ford Fiesta, Hyundai i10 and i20, Ford Focus, Skoda Fabia Estate, Nissan Navara and Ford Transit.

Rates printed on the fleet page start at €25.00 for the Peugeot 108 manual. The Ford Fiesta is shown at €30.00 manual and €32.00 automatic, the Peugeot 108 automatic at €33.00, the Hyundai i20 automatic at €39.00, the Ford Focus at €42.00 and the Skoda Fabia Estate at €45.00. At the top of the range the Nissan Navara is €70.00 and the Ford Transit is €154.00. Ask for a written quote that confirms the rental period and the dates before you travel.

A quote with no hidden extras is sent within a day of an enquiry, and once you confirm, the car is delivered to the airport free of charge.

Collecting your car at the airport or your hotel

Once your booking is confirmed, you receive directions to the spot where your car is waiting at Malta International Airport. The paperwork and bills are settled before you land, so on arrival you telephone the team, walk to the car and drive away without queuing at a desk. Returning the car is just as simple, and drop off is at the airport.

Younger drivers and what you need

The headline zero excess terms are for drivers aged 25 or over. Younger drivers can still hire, with an excess that depends on age: €500 at 24, €600 at 23, €800 at 22 and €900 at 21. Full terms and conditions are available from the company, so ask for them when you enquire.
