Founder Charles Magro grew TEC from a one-man show into a business with its own team of trained professionals. He was present when the first tent went up and the first small exhibition stand was built, and the firm keeps investing in building its own people. The team handles coordination, management, logistics and detail, from a national event to a birthday party for ten, and décor specialists work through colour ranges and customised designs. Staff are trained to deal with unexpected difficulties at events in Malta or overseas, and the company's own workshop skills mean repairs and adjustments can happen quickly.
Notable projects
The company's best-known jobs have taken place at the Granaries in Floriana, the open space beside Valletta. Its first contracted concert there needed 12,000 chairs. In April 2022 it spent eleven days building for the Pope Francis visit and pilgrimage, covering construction, tents, chairs, carpeting, woodwork and upholstery. In September 2023 it staged André Rieu and his Johann Strauss Orchestra over two sold-out nights, a combined audience of 28,000 and the largest event the firm has produced.
