Brown's Pharmacy, San Pawl

Brown's Pharmacy, San Pawl is the branch serving St Paul's Bay, on Triq l-Erba' Mwiezeb in San Pawl il-Baħar, on Malta's north-east coast. It is part of the Brown's Pharmacy group, a chain with branches across the island, and it gives holidaymakers and residents in the Buġibba, Qawra and St Paul's Bay area a local place to collect prescriptions and buy health and beauty products. It is listed in our directory of pharmacies in Malta.

The group's own website gives few details about this individual branch beyond its place on the list of locations, so this page concentrates on what the group offers across its pharmacies and on the setting. It describes products and services only and is not medical advice.

The Brown's Pharmacy group

Brown's Pharmacy operates through Brown's Pharma Limited, with a head office at Quad Central in the Central Business District and a warehouse in Qormi. Its branch list reads like a tour of Malta: Attard, Birkirkara, Ħamrun, Kalkara, Msida, Mellieħa, Mosta, Naxxar, Paola, Pieta, Qormi, San Ġwann, Sliema, St Julian's, Swieqi, Żebbuġ and St Paul's Bay, among others. For a visitor moving around the island, that means a familiar name and a similar kind of shop in many places.

The group's site is organised into health, beauty and products, with a page for finding a doctor, a human resources section and a contact form. Customers who prefer to see how another town's branch operates can look at the Sliema branch, which hosts visiting clinics and which has its own listing in our health centres in Malta category.

Brands and products

Brown's promotes a range of international health and beauty brands. Phyris is a German skincare line built around a three-phase care concept, with activating products called SOMI and a cleanser, eye gel and hyaluronic capsules. BeautyPro makes sheet masks for the face, eyes, neck, hands and feet, manufactured in South Korea. Artdeco offers decorative cosmetics, including refillable beauty boxes and specialty items such as a lipstick fixer and an all-in-one waterproof mascara.

On the nutrition side, Viridian supplies vitamins, minerals, herbs and speciality supplements, with vegan and vegetarian options and capsules made without animal ingredients. Coresatin creams are sold for skin care and hand sanitising. The products page can be filtered for kosher, veg caps, vegan and vegetarian lines, which is useful for UK shoppers with dietary preferences. Ask the San Pawl team which products are on its shelves, since stock differs between branches.

St Paul's Bay and what to do nearby

San Pawl il-Baħar, usually written St Paul's Bay, is one of the island's busiest resort areas, with a long run of apartments, restaurants and seafront walks stretching towards Buġibba and Qawra. If you are choosing where to stay, see our hotels in Qawra, Buġibba and St Paul's Bay page and the where to stay in Malta guide. Abyss Diving Club Bugibba is only a few hundred metres from this branch, which makes it handy for divers who need to stock up before a day on the water.

The north of the island has plenty for visitors. Our Mellieħa guide covers the beaches and villages up the coast, the best beaches in Malta page ranks places to swim and the things to do in Malta page suggests days out. Because the sun is strong from spring to autumn, see the Malta weather guide before you pack, and the flights to Malta page for travel from the UK.
