Comfortek

Comfortek is a one-stop shop for home comfort. The shop on Independence Avenue in Mosta sells air conditioning for homes and commercial premises, then goes further into the kitchen and laundry with cookers, hobs, ovens, dishwashers, fridges, freezers and washing machines. An online shop lets customers browse the whole catalogue before visiting, and a team of advisers helps shoppers pick products that suit their lifestyle and budget.

Mosta is a busy town in the middle of the island, easy to reach by road from Valletta, Sliema and Mdina. If you are setting up a new home, or kitting out a holiday let, you can combine cooling and household appliances in a single trip. Our guide to Mdina covers the nearby walled city, and our directory of electronics shops in Malta shows similar retailers.

Air conditioning range

Air conditioning is the first department in the shop, with twenty-six products at the time of writing. Wall-mounted models make up most of the range, with cassette, duct, floor and ceiling and portable units and a VRF system alongside. Brands include Gree, Midea, Daikin and Hyundai, and there are smart models controlled by Wi-Fi and inverter units that adjust their speed to the room.

Printed prices help you plan. Gree Clivia wall units cost €695 to €1,295, Midea Breezeless units €725 to €1,275, Hyundai inverter units €480 to €860 and Daikin Perfera units €1,199 to €2,195, with the figure depending on capacity. A Gree Mona portable unit is €495, which is handy for renters who cannot fit a fixed system. Gree marine air conditioners are listed from €995 to €2,095 for boats. Gree air curtains are also stocked for shop entrances. For wider choice, browse our directory of air conditioning companies in Malta, and see how hot it gets in our Malta weather guide.

Warranty and delivery

Gree systems carry a five year parts and labour warranty, plus two extra years on the compressor, when they are covered by a periodic maintenance agreement. Without that agreement, the warranty is three years on parts and labour. The shop also advertises an extended warranty on parts and labour more generally, and free local delivery, with orders arriving within a week of being placed.

Ask about installation when you order, since the shop's specialism is supplying equipment and the details of fitting depend on the unit and the property. A neighbouring retailer, A-Store, an electronics shop nearby, may also be worth a visit if you want a wider comparison of electrical goods.

Kitchen, laundry and household appliances

Beyond air conditioning, the catalogue is broad. Cooking products include free-standing gas and electric cookers, hobs, ovens, mini ovens, microwaves and cooker hoods, with island, downdraft and wall-mounted styles. Laundry covers front and top loading washing machines, washer dryers, tumble dryers and spin dryers. Refrigeration ranges from table-top fridges to fridge freezers and chest freezers.

Smaller items include air coolers, fans, dehumidifiers, air purifiers, water heaters, water dispensers, kitchen sinks and taps, and televisions such as 4K QLED Android models. Brands listed include AVG, Blomberg, Grundig, Hyundai, Midea, Russell Hobbs, Simfer and Tesy. Our relocation guide for Malta covers the rest of the practical planning that comes with setting up a home on the islands, and our Malta holidays overview is useful for owners of holiday lets.

Visiting and getting in touch

The shop is open on weekdays through to the evening, which suits people working locally, and on Saturday mornings. Remote workers fitting out a home office may find our digital nomad guide for Malta useful, and our about Malta page gives wider background on the islands.

When you write, say which products you want, the room sizes involved and whether you need delivery. Use the VisitMalta.co.uk enquiry form on this page and we will pass your message to the business.
