Country Flowers

Country Flowers is a flower and home decoration shop in Santa Venera, close to the centre of the island. It sells fresh flowers, but its range is much broader than a typical florist: artificial flowers, artificial plants and trees, vertical gardens, wedding flowers, ceramic pots, glass vases, candles, lanterns, baskets and decorations for every season.

Fresh flowers and next-day delivery

The fresh flower section of the online shop currently shows 86 arrangements, including the Barkingside at €35.00, the Barnes at €50.00 and the Angel at €90.00. There is also a Mother's Day selection, which includes the Chelsfield at €60.00, and categories for anniversaries, birthdays, congratulations, get well, new baby, sympathy, thank you, Valentine's Day, Father's Day, Easter and weddings.

You pick the delivery date at checkout, and next-day delivery of fresh flowers is available. Delivery is offered on all goods bought from the website, there is no minimum order, and you can buy as little or as much as you like.

Artificial flowers, plants and green walls

Artificial flowers are the heart of the shop. The range runs to 393 items, including sprays, hanging bushes, arches, wreaths and arrangements, with a 1.2m Dogtail Spray at €7.24 and a 1.3m Bougainvillea Hanging Bush at €19.61. For larger statements there are 84 artificial plants and trees, such as a 110cm Croton Plant at €108.19 and a 115cm Scheflera Plant at €87.81.

The vertical garden and green wall category lists nine panels, such as the 100 x 100cm Alba at €88.00 and the 100 x 100cm Verona at €72.00, with smaller 50 x 50cm mats from €10.00. They are a practical way to cover a wall, a balcony or a terrace without watering.

Seasonal and Christmas decorations

Seasonal stock changes through the year. The Christmas collection has 723 items, among them a 10-inch Poinsettia Pick at €12.35 and a 100cm Snow Noble Fir Hanging at €35.95, alongside garlands, angels, gnomes, candle rings and wooden decorations. The spring range has 344 items, such as little chicks and sheep for Easter, and there is an autumn and winter collection too.

Because the shop holds so many decorations, it is worth browsing online first. Prices are printed on every product. The Christmas range is also sorted into helpful groups, such as berries and picks, garlands, glitter flowers and branches, gold branches, pine branches, resin and ceramic vases, wooden decorations and displays, and there is a section for All Saints Day.

Beyond flowers, the shop lists dried flowers, foam and dry flower arrangements, artificial fruit and vegetables, cactus, nautical items, pebbles, ribbons, cellophane and shredded hay or carton for gift wrapping. That makes it a useful single stop for anyone arranging a wedding table, a shop window or a gift basket, because the vases, ribbons and fillers sit alongside the flowers themselves.

Visiting and planning your trip
