Services, hours and details last checked against Day Cruise Malta's own published information.

Day Cruise Malta runs catamaran day cruises and private charters from the Tigné waterfront in Sliema, using Tip Top One, Picard and Karema. It offers a public cruise limited to 44 passengers and private charters for groups of up to 60. Enquiries go through the VisitMalta.co.uk form on this page and we pass them to the operator.

Day Cruise Malta offers large, comfortable catamaran trips from the Sliema waterfront, either as a seat on a public cruise or as a private charter for your own group. The operating company, All Yacht Services, has run yacht charters and yacht maintenance in Malta since 2006, and the cruises are built around calm bays, shade, space to swim and a flexible itinerary rather than a fixed timetable of stops.

The business is listed in our directories of boat charters in Malta and tour operators in Malta. It sits beside Tigné Point, so it is easy to combine with a stay in Sliema or a walk to Valletta, which our Valletta guide covers.

The public day cruise

The public cruise is designed for people who dislike packed boats. It runs on Tip Top One with a maximum of 44 passengers, rather than the 120 some larger cruises carry, and boarding closes at 10:10 a.m. The printed price is €129 per passenger. There are shaded tables, areas for sunbathing and two toilets on board.

Public cruises operate from May until September or October, with extra dates sometimes opened in early May and late October if demand is high. Bring a swimsuit, towel and sunblock, show your ticket on your phone rather than printing it, and arrive 20 minutes before departure. All ages are welcome, and vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free meals can be provided if you tell the crew at least two days ahead.

Private charters and the fleet

Tip Top One is the largest vessel, a 24.99 metre catamaran with six tables, two large sun nets and a Bluetooth sound system, licensed for up to 60 passengers. A private charter on her starts at €1,800 for up to 30 guests, and a summer version for up to 60 is listed at €2,100, available from June to September 2026.

Picard is a 13 metre power catamaran for up to 14 guests, the most modern and fastest catamaran in the fleet. A five-hour private charter is €1,600 for up to 12 guests, and a seven-hour charter for 14 is €1,999. Karema is a 14.99 metre power catamaran that carries up to 48 passengers and has an outside shower, a bar and six sunshade tables, A separate 46-person private multihull charter, a 15 metre power multihull built in 2026, is listed from €1,950 for 30 guests. Sailing for longer than the engine would take is possible if you ask the crew to switch the engines off.

What is included and what to expect

A Picard charter includes the crew, fuel for up to 30 nautical miles, a fresh water shower, toilet, swim ladder, flybridge deck, stand-up paddleboard, a towel for each guest, soft drinks and a welcome prosecco. The seven-hour option adds a cold lunch, dessert and two bottles of prosecco. Extra drinks can be bought on board.

Charters suit birthdays, family gatherings, pre-wedding and post-wedding parties, team building, corporate events and staff outings. Red wine and red sangria are not allowed because they stain the boat, and guests may not bring their own food or drink unless agreed in writing. Passengers should be able to swim 500 metres or wear a lifejacket for the whole trip.

Where the boats go and the weather policy

The crew picks bays on the day using the weather forecast, jellyfish reports and a judgement of which spots will be quiet. A typical route reaches Ramla Bay on Gozo or the Crystal Lagoon on Comino, stops near St Paul's Island on the way back and cruises through the Grand Harbour before returning to Sliema. The boats sail past the Blue Lagoon rather than anchoring in it, because the crew find it crowded in summer, and October is suggested as the best month to see it.

For planning, see our guides to the Blue Lagoon and our guide to Gozo, and check the Malta weather guide. If the weather is unsafe, the operator contacts you, offers another date and gives a full refund if you cannot move. Charters need a 50% deposit with the balance on boarding, and cancelling for other reasons forfeits the boat price. To ask about availability, use the VisitMalta.co.uk enquiry form on this page and we will pass your message to Day Cruise Malta.
