Hair Haven

Hair Haven is a hair salon and haircare retailer based in Fgura, a town in the south-east of Malta close to the Three Cities and the Grand Harbour. Ramona Taylor established the salon in 2005, and it has since added an online shop that sells haircare and beauty products to customers all over the islands. The two halves of the business share one aim: to give clients the confidence that comes from a look they love, looked after with good products.

The salon and its services

The salon covers the usual range and some less usual extras. Gents and women's cuts are €13 each. Blow-dries are €13.50 for short or medium hair, €14.50 for long hair and €16 with curls. Braiding and plaiting starts at €18, a bond multiplier treatment is €18, and other hair treatments start at €8. A half updo is €30, an updo starts at €45 and a bridal updo starts at €55.

Colour is priced separately: roots colour is €21, full colour starts at €27, bleached roots start at €21, toner starts at €18, half-head highlights are €45, full-head highlights are €55 and balayage or ombre starts at €80. Colour correction, keratin treatments and extension installation are priced on request, chemical straightening starts at €40, and extension removal starts at €31. Prices depend on the work required, so confirm before you book.

The team and the salon's approach

The salon is run by Ramona Taylor as owner and senior stylist, with Brady Taylor as manager and stylist, Amanda Pullicino as stylist, Maria Micallef as junior stylist and Lucienne Taylor as salon helper. The mission is a tailored service from experienced professionals, bringing out each client's own brilliance and then keeping it in good condition with premium care products.

The online haircare and beauty shop

Hair Haven's online shop lists over 500 haircare and beauty products from more than 25 brands, including Olaplex, Joico, Paul Mitchell, Milkshake, MoroccanOil, Karseell, K18, Wella and CHI. The range runs from women's and men's shampoos, conditioners, masques and serums to beard and hair loss products, hair tools, make-up, gift sets, fragrance and skin care.

Prices are shown including VAT. For example, Olaplex No.3 is €29, and a set of three Karseell products, with shampoo, mask and serum, is €54. Delivery is free on orders of €30 and over, you can choose your date and time at checkout, and same-day delivery is available. You can pay online by PayPal or credit card, or pay cash on delivery. The shop won the MCCAA award for best local online store in 2021 and 2022 and has also been awarded best online local seller and best fashion and beauty brand.
