Hive Club

Hive Club is one of the larger nightclubs in Paceville, the nightlife district of St Julian's, with room for up to 900 guests. It bills itself as Malta's newest nightlife hotspot, and its look is deliberately modern: high ceilings, a spacious dance floor, floor-to-ceiling screens and a hexagon motif that echoes the hive name.

For UK visitors planning a weekend in Malta, it is a venue where you can check the programme in advance and buy tickets for a specific night. The club is listed in our directory of nightclubs in Malta, where you can compare other late-night venues.

The venue and its features

The layout is built around the main dance floor and the screens, which provide a changing visual backdrop for every performance. Photographs of the club show laser beams, hexagon-shaped lights on the walls and a raised stage so that the crowd can see the artist from across the floor, and the high ceilings leave space for the lighting rigs to work. The design is modern and contemporary rather than traditional. Several VIP areas and exclusive VIP services offer an upgraded night for guests who want a table, and the VIP tables page of the website takes booking requests.

One unusual touch is a dance floor in the bathroom, inspired by the edgy feel of the Boiler Room. It gives the venue a talking point that most clubs lack, and it fits the club's edgy, underground leaning.

Music and artists

Hive is known for a commitment to techno and electro, with a diverse line-up of international artists and a sound system built for cutting-edge beats. It has already welcomed international names including Tayc and Dadju, and the club counts more than 20 artists and live performances in a single season.

In total the club has staged over 300 events and entertained more than a million attendees. Not every night is purely electronic: the calendar mixes themed party brands with headline acts, so check each listing to see which sound is on.

Recent and upcoming nights

The 2026 calendar gives a flavour of the programming. Club Citrus ran on 27 March, Anthems on 11 April, Colony on 1 August and French Riviera on 3 August. Baehive nights took place on 4 September and 9 October, Loco Rico on 17 September and 15 October, and a Mystery Lineup night on 23 October.

The next event listed is Familiar Faces on 24 October 2026, with doors opening at 10:00pm and tickets sold online. The events page has a calendar view, so you can pick the date of your trip and see what is on that night. Past events are archived for reference, which is a useful way to judge the style of a night before you buy a ticket. A newsletter sign-up and a question form, signed off by Queen Bee, are also on the site.
