Little Stars Malta

Little Stars Malta is a baby shop on Triq Marina in Pietà, on the main road that links Valletta with Msida and Gżira. It sells the larger purchases that most new families need, including pushchairs, car seats and cots, together with the smaller things that fill a baby bag, from bottles and bath products to dummies and toys. For UK visitors with a baby, it is a convenient place to buy or replace equipment close to the capital. Other child-focused shops are listed in our toy shops in Malta directory.

Baby transport and car seats

The shop displays a wide choice of pushchairs, with shelves of carry cots and travel systems on show. The online catalogue is organised into essentials, twin and double strollers, lightweight and cabin strollers, travel systems and carry cots, together with accessories such as footmuffs, liners, sun protection, rain covers and insect nets. Car seats are filtered by age and weight, from infant seats up to seats for children aged eleven, and include rotating seats, lie-flat infant seats, Isofix bases and adaptors. Baby carriers, toddler harnesses, slings and wraps are available too. Brands include Maxi-Cosi, Bugaboo, Babystyle Oyster, Chicco, Babyjogger and Jane.

Nursery, feeding and bathing

On the nursery side you will find moses baskets, bedside cribs, baby nests, cots and cot beds, nursery sets, wardrobes, changing units and mattresses, plus bedding, sleeping bags, swaddles and night lights. Feeding covers highchairs, weaning accessories, bottles, sterilisers, bottle warmers, breastpumps and nursing bras, while the bathing and hygiene range includes baths, toiletries, grooming items, nappies and changing mats. The shop also stocks baby monitors, home safety items, playpens and travel cots, which matter if you are setting up a holiday let or staying with relatives. Gifts, plush toys, ride-ons and a Little Stars voucher round out the range.

Brands and everyday essentials

The shop works with a long list of labels, which makes it a useful stop for parents who already know what they want. Alongside the pushchair and car seat names above, the range includes Avent, Dr. Brown's, Nuk, feeding and soothing brands such as MAM and Suavinex, Munchkin, Ergobaby, Chicco, Mustela, Pampers, Huggies and WaterWipes, plus clothing and giftwear labels, toys from Leap Frog and Disney, and books and cards. Sections for maternity, personal care, postpartum and pregnancy sit beside baby oral care, soothers and teething items.

Smaller smart-home and feeding gadgets appear as well, including a milk formula maker and powder containers, a hip-seat baby carrier and a non-contact thermometer. A clearance sale section collects reduced lines, which can be worth a look if you are buying for a short stay and want good value. For any health question about your baby, speak to a doctor or pharmacist rather than relying on a product listing. Prices are shown in euros on the website, and the online filters let you narrow car seats by price as well as age, so you can compare seats side by side before buying, whether you shop online or in the store.

Visiting Pietà

Pietà sits beside the capital, so you can combine a shopping trip with a morning in the capital, Valletta, the Upper Barrakka Gardens and St John's Co-Cathedral. Our things to do in Malta guide has more ideas for families. If you are planning a trip with a baby, see our flights to Malta page, and for a longer stay read the relocating to Malta guide. Families can find play options in our children's activities in Malta listing, and the nearby children's clothing shops cover outfits. To ask Little Stars about stock or an order, use the VisitMalta.co.uk enquiry form on this page and we will pass your message to the business.
