Mvintage Centerparc is the Ħal Qormi shop of Mvintage, a Maltese jewellery and accessories brand that turns island symbols into wearable pieces. It sells pendants, bangles, earrings, rings, candles and gifts, many of them engravable. Enquiries about this branch go through the VisitMalta.co.uk form on this page.

Mvintage Centerparc is the branch of the Mvintage jewellery brand at Centerparc in Ħal Qormi, in the middle of the island and a short drive from Valletta. The brand sells pendants, bangles, earrings, rings, scented candles and small leather goods, with a strong thread of Maltese design running through the range. It is listed in our directory of antique shops in Malta, although what you will find here is new, contemporary jewellery rather than period pieces.

A Maltese brand with a story

Mvintage was founded in 2011 by Krystle Penza, and the brand has grown up alongside her daughter, who is the same age. It was the first Maltese jewellery label to celebrate the island's identity openly. Its Kavallieri collection, for example, reworks the Munita, Il-Ħabbata and the Maltese Cross into pieces designed to be worn every day. If those symbols are new to you, our guide to the Knights of Malta and their history explains where the cross comes from, and the ornate interior of St John's Co-Cathedral in Valletta shows the same love of detail.

The brand also talks about a wider aim: encouraging women to feel confident and express themselves. A Women of the Year event is held each year, and the fifth edition is set for 2026.

What you can buy

The online catalogue lists close to two thousand products, which gives some idea of the range available through the brand. Pendants and necklaces are the largest groups, followed by earrings and bangles, with chains, charms, anklets, rings and chokers also on offer. There are sunglasses designed in Malta, leather handbags, wallets, scarves and jewellery boxes, plus three scented candles in coloured glass, each paired with a semi-precious stone.

Many pieces can be personalised. Free engraving is offered on engraved gifts, and birthstone designs are arranged month by month. Jewellery is made in 316L stainless steel, which is hypoallergenic, and finished with gold or rose gold plating, enamel, semi-precious stones, handcrafted glass or cubic zirconia. Because stones are natural and glass is handmade, small variations in colour are normal.

Sunglasses are a useful extra for a Malta trip. The five styles are designed in Malta, with polarised lenses, category 3 UV protection and frames of stainless steel and acetate, and each comes with a velvet hardshell case, a pouch and a microfibre cloth. Our Malta weather guide by month will tell you when you are likely to need them.

Looking after your jewellery

Plating is delicate, so the care advice is worth following. Store each piece separately in the box or pouch supplied, fasten chains when you are not wearing them and keep jewellery away from perfume, hair spray, chlorine, salt water and strong cleaners. A soft microfibre cloth is the recommended way to clean pieces. Every Mvintage product carries a 12-month warranty from the date of purchase.

If you are shopping for a holiday gift to take home, remember that the brand packs orders in its own box or pouch, and extra gift boxes can be bought separately. Planning the trip itself? Our Malta holidays overview and things to do in Malta are good places to begin, and our flights to Malta page covers getting here from the UK.
