San Giljan ASC

San Giljan ASC is a water polo and swimming club based on St George's Road in St Julian's, on Malta's busiest stretch of coast. The club fields men's, women's and junior water polo squads as well as a swimming nursery for beginners. It plays in the Maltese top division, and its website celebrates a run of results in the 2017 season, including 12 wins in a row and an unbeaten winter league.

The 2017 news posts give a flavour of the team's ambitions. A post titled We Are the Champions celebrates 12 wins on the trot, the best defence and the best attack. An earlier post notes eight wins from eight games, 90 goals scored, a nine-point lead in the table, unbeaten winter league winners and winners of the 2017 President's Cup. The side was marshalled by Marco Orlovic, with a Montenegrin general, experienced players and improving youngsters mentioned in the same posts.
