Tekno Air Conditioning Supplies

Tekno Air Conditioning Supplies is a Birkirkara supplier of heating, ventilation and air conditioning materials, known in the trade as HVAC. It brings back the Tekno name, a well-known air conditioning brand in Malta, as a supplier of parts and equipment sourced from manufacturers around the world.

In a country where summer temperatures make cooling a daily necessity, a specialist trade counter is useful both to professional installers and to homeowners. The business appears in our directory of air conditioning companies in Malta, and it is a sister company of Smart Effects Ltd and Coil Defender Europe.

Air conditioning units

The units range is built around AUX and LG. AUX residential models include the Q-Series at €630.00, the Halo Series at €575.00, the Freedom Series at €495.00 and the C Series at €600.00, while the multisplit unit is priced at €235.00. For larger or commercial spaces there is an AUX cassette unit and a ceiling and floor unit at €1,600.00 each, an ultra-flat ducted concealed unit at €1,150.00, and the ARV6 outdoor system, which is priced on request.

LG offers cassette, duct concealed and floor and ceiling units. Cassettes suit offices, meeting rooms and restaurants with suspended ceilings, and concealed ducts hide the equipment to protect the look of an interior. The page prices were current at the time of checking and may change, so ask for a quote.

If you need someone to fit a unit, the directory also lists installers and service firms such as Able Ltd and AC Service Malta.

Tools, pipes and installation materials

Installers can buy Value Tools equipment: battery flaring tools and pipe expanders, cordless vacuum pumps designed for R32 and R1234yf refrigerants, digital gauges, refrigerant recovery units, electronic scales, tube cutters and tool kits. Examples include an infrared thermometer at €36.18, a tube cutter at €53.29 and a tool kit at €211.71.

Copper tubing comes from Cuprumfoma as straight lengths and coils in sizes from quarter inch to one and three-eighths inch. HVAC accessories number more than 50 items, including flexible ducts, G profiles, brackets, threaded rods, nuts and bolts from brands such as Makro Teknik, Aeroduct and Super Air. Foam insulation, ventilation fans, grilles and underfloor heating complete the catalogue.

Anyone planning a new build or renovation can also look at local architects such as 680 Perit Charles Azzopardi and builders such as A. Aquilina Building Contractors, who work alongside the trades that install cooling and ventilation. Birkirkara sits in the heart of the island, so most of Malta is within a short drive of the store, and delivery covers the rest.

Coil Defender cleaning and corrosion protection

Coil Defender products clean and protect air conditioning coils. The range includes a passivated cleaner at €18.52, an enzyme coil cleaner at €208.32 for 5 litres, an enzymatic sanitiser and cleaner, condensate pan tablets, filter treatments, antimicrobial coil treatment and a direct-to-metal coating at €589.92 for surfaces in HVAC systems.

These are specialist maintenance supplies rather than everyday household cleaners, so they will mostly interest technicians, property managers and facilities teams. Ask the business about suitability before ordering.
