Thai Sawadee Spa

Thai Sawadee Massage Spa is a centrally placed Thai massage and beauty spa on George Borg Olivier Street in Sliema, one of the main shopping and seafront areas of Malta. It combines traditional Thai techniques with Western massage styles and a menu of nail, skin and waxing treatments, and it is open every day of the week, which is useful on a short break.

Massage styles on offer

Authentic Thai massage is done fully clothed with no oil, using palms, thumbs and gentle stretches. Ayurvedic oil massage is done with minimal clothing and an oil chosen for your body type, and the aroma massage uses steamed herbal packs. Thai foot massage mixes elements of reflexology and yoga, and head massage focuses on the neck, shoulders, scalp and face.

Other options include hot stone massage, with heated stones applied to the body, classic Swedish massage with long flowing strokes, sports massage, medical massage, slimming massage and reflexology. Couples can book a relaxing or Thai oil session together. The spa describes its techniques; it does not give medical advice, so speak to your own doctor about any health concern.

Prices and offers

A sixty minute Thai oil massage costs €45, a sixty minute Thai massage without oil costs €50, and a sixty minute couples massage costs €85. A thirty minute back, head and shoulder session is €30, and a sixty minute session is €50. A sixty minute foot massage or hot stone massage is €60, and a thirty minute body scrub is €35. All prices include VAT.

The spa also runs a special offer: for every ten massages, the eleventh is free. Gift vouchers are available on the website, which makes the spa an easy present for friends or family on the island.

Because treatments range from thirty minutes to an hour, you can choose a short session between sightseeing stops or a longer one to unwind at the end of the day. Couples can book a shared session, and groups of friends can use the online form to choose a date, time and number of people. Spa and beauty treatments

Beyond massage, the spa has a full beauty menu and offers gel nail extensions with tips at €45, refills at €28 and gel removal at €10. An express manicure costs €12, a gel manicure €20 to €25, a spa pedicure €25 and a luxurious spa pedicure €30. A callus peel treatment is €18 and a facial by hand is €45, with waxing priced by area.
