The Eden

The Eden is an indoor entertainment centre in St Julian's, the resort and nightlife area on Malta's north-east coast. It puts a long list of group activities under one roof: bowling, laser tag, arcade games, karaoke, darts, billiards, soft play and digital experiences, with food and drink available between rounds. The centre is built for families, friends, school groups and workplace outings, and it is open late most evenings.

Bowling is the anchor activity, with both traditional bowling and duckpin, a variation played with smaller balls and pins. The centre runs themed nights at its bowling floor, which it calls Superbowl, from 8pm until late, and promotions such as a Bowl and Bite deal and a bowling and laser tag combination with 20 per cent off laser tag. A feature called the Golden 8 Ball Drop adds a game within the game to a bowling night.

Laser tag has its own arena, and the arcade offers a wide spread of machines. Darts and billiards are available for a quieter match, while the digital experiences give groups another way to spend an evening. The centre also lists soft play for younger children, which makes it practical for mixed-age families who want everyone in one place.

Karaoke, food and the terrace bar

Karaoke is held in private rooms with their own equipment, so a group can sing without an audience. Food and drink are part of the offer rather than an afterthought. Hangry's serves burgers and other fast food, while a terrace bar, presented as an upmarket spot for elevated cocktails, handles the evening crowd. The bar has also hosted a comedy night after party, so it is worth asking what is on during your dates.

The Eden sells party packages for children and adults, team-building and corporate events, and tournaments. It publishes separate contact routes for parties and corporate events, and it describes events as one of its main strengths, from planning through to the event itself. Companies hold staff outings here, and the calendar also includes game nights, such as Wednesday nights built around the social deduction game Blood on the Clocktower in October, a Halloween Latino night and an October open bar evening called The Eden Exchange.

Offers change through the year, for example mid-term offers during school breaks. A virtual tour on the venue's own site lets you walk through the bowling lanes, karaoke rooms, restaurant, arcade, laser tag arena and party rooms before you choose a package.

Opening hours and getting there

Winter opening hours are Monday to Wednesday from 11:00 to midnight, Thursday and Friday from 11:00 to 01:00, Saturday from 10:00 to 01:00 and Sunday from 10:00 to midnight. Check for seasonal changes when you plan your trip. The Eden is on Triq Santu Wistin in St Julian's.
