Titan International Ltd is a mechanical and electrical engineering company founded in 1968 and part of the Mizzi Organisation, with air conditioning outlets in Msida, San Ġwann and Fgura, Malta. It supplies and installs air conditioning, lifts and escalators, ducting and industrial tools, and offers contracting and after-sales care. Enquiries go through the VisitMalta.co.uk form on this page.

Titan International is one of Malta's longest established engineering and building services companies. It was founded in May 1968 and belongs to the Mizzi Organisation, a respected family-owned group. Over more than five decades it has grown into a business with around 200 staff and six areas of activity: air conditioning, lifts and escalators, mechanical and electrical contracting, industrial supplies, duct manufacture and customer care.

For a UK visitor or new resident, the practical appeal is that one company can sell you a home air conditioner at a shop counter, fit a lift in an apartment block, or deliver the mechanical and electrical package for an office or hotel. It trades from a head base in Msida, close to Valletta, Sliema and Gżira. Our directory of air conditioning companies in Malta lists other options for comparison, and you can write to Titan through the form on this page.

History and approach

Titan was among the first companies in Malta to see demand for air conditioning, during the late 1960s and early 1970s when the islands were in the middle of a building boom. It supplied homes and light commercial premises, and it even launched summer air conditioning rental for customers who saw cooling as a seasonal luxury. The 1970s and 1980s kept that domestic and light commercial focus.

A restructuring in the 1990s made Titan one of the first building services providers in Malta to be run by engineers, a philosophy that continues today. The aim is to be recognised as Malta's leading provider of building services that improve comfort, efficiency and safety in homes and public buildings, with technical expertise, quality products and long experience behind it. Recent news items mention a Market Leading Award from Haier recognising strong performance in Malta during 2025, and a sponsorship partnership with the Chamber of Engineers announced in August 2026. The company also congratulated Attard Football Club on winning the National Amateur League in 2026, a small sign of its involvement in the local community. In May 2026 it introduced a new HiKOKI concrete nailer through its industrial supplies arm, and in September 2026 it presented the Haier Super Match Multi 3S, which is designed to cool, heat and supply hot water for a whole home from one system.

Air conditioning for homes, businesses and boats

The air conditioning division supplies residential, commercial and marine systems through three outlets in Msida, San Ġwann and Fgura. Brands include Haier, Hitachi, Carrier, Cooper and Hunter and Candy. Recent additions include the Haier Pearl Plus 34,000 BTU model, now stocked in all three outlets, and the Haier Super Match Multi 3S, a system for whole-home comfort. A BTU calculator on the website helps you estimate the right size for a room.

The online shop prints prices. Cooper and Hunter Veyron units run from €485 to €950, Candy Pura from €520 to €995, Haier Pearl Pro from €550 to €1,045 and Hitachi airHOME 400 from €715 to €1,425, with the price depending on capacity. A Haier dehumidifier costs from €180 to €205. Marine air conditioners in the MSC series are listed from €1,032 to €3,680, a useful reference for boat owners, who can also look at our directory page for 73 Marine, a yacht broker. Our Malta weather guide explains why summer cooling is a sensible budget item.

Lifts, escalators and contracting

Titan imports the Doppler lift brand and also represents TKE, with sales, installation and maintenance across Malta. Lifts matter in a country where many apartment blocks were built without them, and a lift retrofit is a common project for flat owners. Titan also maintains escalators.

The contracting division delivers mechanical and electrical packages for commercial, industrial, hospitality, healthcare and public sector developments in Malta and Gozo. The work covers HVAC, ventilation and electrical installation, plus specialised electromechanical solutions, and the team handles projects from concept to commissioning in line with local regulations, international standards and health and safety requirements. It works alongside architects, consultants, developers and contractors. Offices in the financial services sector and iGaming companies are the sort of clients that need this blend of trades, and so are hotels, as shown in our guide to hotels in Malta.

Ducting, industrial supplies and tools

Titan manufactures custom ducting and installs it, from design through to commissioning, for ventilation projects. It also runs Titan Industrial Supplies, the Maltese representative of HiKOKI power tools, with a retail counter at San Ġwann. Brands in the supplies range include Toolpak, Plano, Praktik, Laserliner, Matador and Tecfi, along with operative clothing and safety footwear. This arm serves professionals in construction and finishing, including a new HiKOKI concrete nailer introduced in 2026.

Customers who are renovating a property in Malta can therefore buy tools, ducting and cooling from related businesses. Our relocation guide for Malta covers the planning steps for new arrivals, and our Valletta guide shows the sort of historic properties where careful installation matters.

Customer care, warranty and maintenance

The customer care team provides after-sales support across Malta and Gozo for air conditioning, lifts, escalators, duct cleaning and mechanical and electrical installations. Services include routine maintenance, technical help, repairs and upgrades, and the team works to reduce downtime. Technicians are licensed and qualified, with F-Gas certification and professional diplomas, and genuine spare parts are available from the leading brands Titan represents.

Warranty registration and extension can be done through the website by entering a warranty card number, and maintenance contracts are available. If you own a holiday property, our Malta holidays overview and about Malta page offer background on the islands.

Choosing and buying a unit

The online shop is a good place to start before you visit an outlet. It lists wall-mounted air conditioners in a range of capacities, a Haier portable air conditioner of 12,000 BTU that can cool and heat, Candy water heaters from €133 to €185, dehumidifiers and marine units. Each product page shows variants, so you can choose the capacity that fits your room, and the shop has sections for delivery and installation, professional installation, returns and warranty policy.

Sizing is where many first-time buyers go wrong. A unit that is too small struggles on a hot afternoon, while one that is too large cycles on and off and wastes energy. The BTU calculator on the website asks for your room details and suggests a suitable size, and the outlet staff can talk you through it. Larger properties and commercial spaces may be better served by a ducted or multi-room system than by separate units, and the contracting team handles those projects.

Because the business represents a number of manufacturers, you can compare brands without moving between suppliers. The portfolio includes Haier, Hitachi, Carrier, Cooper and Hunter, Candy, Dantherm, Stulz and others across domestic comfort cooling, commercial systems and specialist cooling, and a separate team handles larger commercial projects. If you are buying in Malta for the first time, remember that installation is usually the biggest part of the job, so ask for a written proposal that covers equipment, fitting and warranty together.

Visiting and getting in touch

The three air conditioning outlets keep the same weekday hours, with a lunch break from 13:00 to 14:00. Industrial supplies opens on Saturday mornings as well. Remote workers setting up an office at home may also find our digital nomad guide for Malta useful.

When you write, say whether the enquiry is about air conditioning, a lift, ducting, tools or a larger contracting project, and give your location. Use the VisitMalta.co.uk enquiry form on this page and we will pass your message to the business.
