Toymagic

Toymagic is a family-run toy shop in Ħal Qormi that has been supplying toys across Malta for more than 30 years. It trades from the PAVI Shopping Complex on Triq Manwel Dimech and runs an online shop with a delivery service, so you can browse a wide range before you visit. For UK families on holiday, it is a practical stop for pool toys, beach gear or a replacement favourite toy, and it opens seven days a week. Our toy shops in Malta directory lists other retailers.

What Toymagic sells

The family describes the stock as everything from bestsellers and educational toys to outdoor play areas, pools and kids' vehicles. In practice, the online catalogue is arranged into toys and games, dolls and soft toys, vehicles, play world, art and creative play, games and puzzles, babies and toddlers and shop by age, from 0 to 12 months to teens and adults.

LEGO has its own section, covering Duplo, Classic, City, Creator, Technic, Minecraft, Harry Potter and more, and Playmobil is stocked from City Life to Playmobil 1.2.3. Baby and toddler products include Fisher-Price, LeapFrog, VTech and SmarTrike, while themed toys cover Paw Patrol, Peppa Pig, Thomas and Friends, Frozen, Toy Story, Pokémon, Super Mario and Minecraft. Puzzle fans can look at Ravensburger and Frank jigsaws, and games include UNO, Connect 4, Guess Who and a Maltese board game.

Summer, outdoor and active play

The summer section is useful for holidaymakers. It lists arm bands and baby floats, beach and sand toys, pool toys, rings and lilos, swimming boards and noodles, masks, goggles and flippers, and air pumps. Outdoor ranges include playground and backyard sets, play houses, sand and water tables, swings and slides, trampolines, camping gear, bicycles, electric ride-ons, scooters, skateboards and helmets. If you are heading to the sea, see our best beaches in Malta and Golden Bay guide first, and check the Malta weather guide for the right month.

Vehicles, dolls and creative play

Children who love machines are well served by the vehicle world, which includes cars, motorbikes and boats, construction and farm vehicles, planes and helicopters, race tracks and slot cars, remote controlled toys, trains and rails, and garages with playsets, with makers such as Bruder, Matchbox, Meccano and Hot Wheels. Dolls and soft toys include Barbie, baby dolls, doll houses with clothes and accessories, Disney Princesses, Monster High, L.O.L Surprise and Squishmallows.

For creative children there are Play-Doh, Hama beads, drawing and painting kits, and make-up, jewellery and fashion sets, along with science toys, musical instruments from brands such as Bontempi and Lexibook, and careers and tools sets for pretend play. A section for fidget and surprise toys sits alongside games and puzzles, and teens and adults are included in the shop by age filter, which suits collectors and puzzle fans who want something more challenging than a children's set.

Gifts, delivery and visiting

Staff aim to look after customers during and after the sale, which is reassuring when you are buying a larger item such as a pool, a ride-on or a play house for children to enjoy through the summer. Gift vouchers are sold in amounts of €5, €10, €20 and €50, and free next delivery applies on orders over €45, subject to terms and conditions. The shop is next to children's clothing, with Accessorize and Monsoon Children a very short distance away.
