Yachthub Group is a Malta yachting group with its head office on the quay at Portomaso Marina in St Julian's, and it works across Malta and Gozo. Under one roof it brings together yacht sales and brokerage, luxury charters, marina management, a boatyard and after-sales team, water sports and a nautical school. For a visitor or buyer from the UK, that means one team can look after the purchase of a boat, where it is berthed, how it is serviced and how you use it on the water.
The group describes its aim as a consistently high level of customer satisfaction, whether a client is buying, selling, building, chartering or looking for someone to manage and maintain a yacht. On VisitMalta.co.uk it appears in our directory of yacht brokers in Malta.
Who Yachthub Group is
The group presents itself as a yachting organisation with an unusually complete in-house offer for the southern Mediterranean, covering new yacht sales, brokerage, charters, concierge work, shipyard and after-sales services and water sports. Its stated approach is to associate itself with well-known, reputable brands and to match them with its own service, so that an owner has one trustworthy partner for the whole life of a boat.
Charlo Briffa is Group Chief Executive Officer, and the management team includes Antonio Borg as Group Technical Officer, Reuben Debrincat as Head of Marina Management, Ryan Fenech as Head of Charter Management and Michael Boyianzis as Head of Operations. The workforce is multilingual and multicultural, managed through an in-house HR department, and the group values its people as its best asset. The management structure puts sales and after-sales under separate leaders, so a client buying a boat is introduced early to the colleagues who will look after it later. Headquarters is at Portomaso Marina, The Quay, Unit No. 6, St Julian's, close to the nightlife and seafront of the area covered in our guide to hotels in Sliema and St Julian's.
Yacht sales, brokerage and the personal yacht shopper
Sales are organised by boat type: brand new yachts, pre-owned yachts and dealer approved yachts. The group is the exclusive Sunseeker dealer in Malta through Sunseeker Malta, which is based at Portomaso Marina and sells new boats, handles brokerage and arranges charters. Yachthub Sales and Brokerage is the exclusive Cranchi distributor in Malta and specialises in bespoke brokerage of larger yachts, including brands such as Riva, Ferretti and Princess. Bavaria Yachts Malta, set up in late 2017, distributes Bavaria sailing yachts, Bavaria motor yachts and Nautitech catamarans and offers yacht management, charter management and crew placement.
Other brands in the group's portfolio include Sunreef Yachts, Axopar, Brabus Marine, Boston Whaler and Sea Ray, plus engines and equipment from names such as Rotax, Humphree and WhisperPower. Viewing a boat is meant to be more than a quick look: the team arranges any travel to the vessel, greets you on board with coffee and finger food served by its own crew, and has an after-sales colleague present to answer technical questions.
If nothing on the market fits, the personal yacht shopper service builds a boat to your brief. The team recommends a suitable model, acts for you with brands, shipyards and factories on design and build, and organises the logistics of your customisation, including negotiations and technical advice. Hire purchase offers are available and the team will talk through cryptocurrency, and owners wanting to sell can use the list with us service. Buyers can take their time over the decision, because the team treats a viewing as a chance to ask as many questions as you like of the crew on board.
Luxury charters
Yachthub Charters arranges private voyages for celebrations, corporate events or a quiet escape, with each trip tailored to the client. The team begins with a consultation, matches you with a suitable yacht and suggests locations according to the season. Full-time crew handle hospitality on board, and the concierge side can organise a beach picnic, a cocktail evening on deck, a last-minute restaurant table or a shopping outing at the next port.
Charter guests from the UK often want to see the best-known swimming spots, and the sheltered bays around Blue Lagoon on Comino are an obvious starting point. If you are weighing up a shorter day on the water, a boat charter business such as Big D Charters may suit that kind of plan, while Yachthub focuses on luxury yachts with crew and tailored itineraries. Our Malta weather guide helps you choose the month.
Marinas: Portomaso and Laguna
Portomaso Marina is described as an integrated luxury yachting destination, with residences, shops, restaurants and leisure facilities around the harbour. Yachthub Group took over its operation and management on 1 June 2024 and is investing over a 24 month period in upgraded facilities and services. Golf cart and electric trolley services are being introduced, and plans include a Portomaso Yacht Club, a superyacht toys outlet, a chandlery and a sailing outlet. The stated aim is a friendly community in which owners and members enjoy their boats to the full, with service delivered with a smile. For a visitor, that makes the marina a natural base for a day out on the water, a meal ashore or a conversation about buying a boat.
Laguna Marina is a boutique marina on the Valletta Waterfront, and the group presents it as the only marina in Malta with an all-inclusive option, so an owner finds the motor yacht ready to go. Floating pontoons and fingers give easy access for boats up to 15 metres, and services include refuelling, catering, valet parking, guardiennage, waste collection and a concierge. If your boat is based here, our Valletta guide covers the capital on your doorstep, and the Three Cities guide covers the other side of the Grand Harbour.
Servicing, maintenance and yacht agency
Yachthub Services and Management was founded in 2015 as the group's after-sales arm. It services more than 150 boats a year with an in-house team and is led by director Antonio Borg. Work covers mechanical and hydraulic repairs and servicing, electrical and electronic maintenance, GRP repairs, spraying, plumbing, air-conditioning, refrigeration and winter works. A three month labour warranty applies, subject to terms and conditions. Partners provide naval architecture, surveys, upholstery, carpentry and fuel tank cleaning. A Volvo Penta service centre operates within its premises, and the group's power sports company is an official service point for Volvo Malta.
At the Mediterranean Maritime Hub the group also offers shared and dedicated storage, container rental, berthing and dry storage for yachts up to 60 metres or 600GT. A dedicated parts and warranty team sources parts at market prices, tracks deliveries to yachts in Malta and abroad and manages warranty claims from registration to closure. For visiting yachts, the agency service handles Portnet registration, port health, customs and immigration clearance, berth booking, bunkering including duty free, provisioning, logistics and hospitality bookings. The largest vessel it has assisted measured 60 metres.
Water sports and the nautical school
Rush Water Sports operates from Portomaso Marina, setting visitors off from the shores of St Julian's by jet ski, self-drive boat or motor yacht. It works with brands such as Axopar, Sea-Doo and Brabus Marine and also collaborates with major large and boutique hotels across the island. Premium Power Sport, a joint venture with RLR Yachting, sells jet skis, water scooters and paddleboards with after-sales support.
The group also runs two nautical schools, at Laguna Marina and Portomaso Marina, teaching towards the Transport Malta nautical licence. Around 400 students have passed since 2021. If you are thinking about a longer stay, our guides to things to do in Malta and Gozo (see our Gozo guide) show how much coastline there is to explore.
Events and how to get in touch
Yachthub Group hosts the Portomaso Orange Carpet boat show, which returns on 14 and 15 November 2026 with twelve brands showing new and pre-owned yachts and the latest power sports afloat. Visitors flying in from the UK can check flights to Malta and compare where to stay in Malta before deciding on dates.
