Fairdeal Furniture

Fairdeal Furniture is a furniture importer and retailer on the Mdina Road in Żebbuġ, in the west of Malta. It sells bedrooms, sofas, kitchens, wall units, tables and chairs for bedrooms, living rooms, dining rooms and kitchens, along with lights, flooring, mattresses and internal doors, at prices aimed at families.

The showroom is one of the largest on the island, which suits UK buyers who want to compare many options in one visit. The business is listed with other furniture shops in Malta, and Żebbuġ is close to the old capital covered in our Mdina guide.

How Fairdeal grew

Fairdeal Furniture was founded in 2008 as a retailer and wholesaler. Arnold Vella began by importing furniture from the Far East and opened a small showroom in Żebbuġ. As the range grew and the company began importing from Europe, especially Italy, the space became too small. In 2011 the showroom was expanded, and it has since grown into one of the largest display areas on the island.

Today Fairdeal also imports made-to-measure, up-to-date kitchens. Most of the furniture and accessories can be delivered almost immediately, which is helpful if you are furnishing a property against a deadline. If you are arriving from Britain, our Malta relocation guide covers the wider move.

Sofas, bedrooms and kitchens

The sofa department has more than 45 models on display, including sofa beds, corner sofas, L-shaped sofas and recliners in leather and fabric. Named lines on the website include the Paxos sofa bed, Taled sofa bed, Primus sofa and a long list of corner and L-shape designs.

Bedrooms are a particular strength. Over 20 main and spare bedrooms are on show, and Fairdeal is one of the only outlets in Malta offering over 30 models of main bedrooms from stock. Made-to-measure bedrooms and walk-in wardrobes can be supplied, along with baby nurseries, children's and teen bedrooms and locally manufactured bedrooms in woods such as African walnut, American walnut, pine, oak and ash. For made-to-measure work, the team asks for your room measurements so it can issue a design and quotation.

The refurbished kitchen area shows more than 15 kitchen models. Beyond these, the range includes wall units, side boards, dining tables, chairs and stools, office chairs, bathroom furniture and homeware, and a special offers section.

Practical points for buyers

The stated mission is to offer quality furniture and furnishings at a price families can afford, and the showroom is arranged so that you can see what you need to furnish a home completely in one place. Because opening hours are not published online, the sensible approach is to send an enquiry first, so the team can confirm when someone will be available to show you around.

If you plan to order a made-to-measure bedroom, nursery or kitchen, take accurate room measurements and photographs with you. For ready-to-go pieces such as sofas, ask which models are in stock, since most items can be delivered almost immediately. Mention any recliner or sofa bed requirements early, because the sofa ranges are large and the models differ widely in size and function.

Visiting and planning

Summer heat is a factor when choosing fabrics, so the Malta weather guide is useful. Cooling specialists such as Able Ltd for air conditioning and AC Service Malta are in our directory, and the 24/7 Fitness Club in Żebbuġ is the closest gym listing to the showroom.

For electronics to go with a new wall unit, see the A-Store electronics shop listing, and for art, 2B Gallery. Our Valletta guide suggests a way to spend the rest of the day. When you are ready, use the VisitMalta.co.uk enquiry form on this page and we will pass your message to Fairdeal Furniture.
