Junior's Toy Shop

Junior's Toy Shop has been selling toys in Malta since 1992, and its stores are Fun and Learn Centres in the island's top shopping spots. The branch on this page is at the Centerparc Shopping Complex in Ħal Qormi, a retail complex on the central side of the island. It is listed in our directory of toy shops in Malta.

For UK families the shop is easy to understand: a large, bright high street style toy store with the brands you know, from LEGO and Barbie to Hasbro and Playmobil, and an online shop that covers the same range.

A toy shop for every age

The website helps shoppers browse by age: 0 to 18 months, 2 to 5 years, 6 to 8, 9 to 11, 12 to 17 and adults aged 18 and over. That last group matters, because adult LEGO is a big part of the offer, such as Icons, Art and Technic sets.

There are also sections by type, including baby and toddler toys, educational toys, outdoor toys, board games, puzzles and dolls and playsets, as well as character sections for Peppa Pig, Minecraft, Star Wars, Spider-Man, Pokémon, Harry Potter, Disney Princess, Avengers and Stitch.

Brands and the LEGO range

Shoppers can browse by brand, including LEGO, VTech, Globber, Barbie, Clementoni, Galt, Hasbro, Mattel, Playmobil and Spin Master. LEGO has its own large section, covering City, Friends, Technic, Duplo, Disney Princess, Harry Potter, Marvel, Minecraft, Pokémon, Sonic the Hedgehog and Super Mario, along with seasonal advent calendars.

Larger items appear in the sale section, with offers such as a Little Tikes playhouse and giant slides, giving an idea of the range of garden toys. Special offers and sales are listed on the home page, and the price filter runs from under €10 up to €200 and over, so it is simple to shop to a budget, whether you want a pocket-money present or a major set. Maltese card games and LED night lamps are among the quirkier lines.

Gifts, collection and delivery

Gift help is built in, with ideas for birthdays, Christmas toys and communion gifts, and a gift voucher option. Prices include VAT, and delivery is free on orders over €50. A click and collect service lets you order online and pick up in store.

The shop runs a rewards scheme called Lava Rewards, where points are collected with every purchase, and customers can sign up to a mailing list for offers, new arrivals and toy tips. A toy safety guide and a product recall page are available as well, along with a returns page and an FAQ, which is reassuring when buying for very young children. Prices include VAT, so there is no surprise at the till.

Finding a store

Besides Centerparc in Qormi, stores are at PAMA in Mosta, The Point in Sliema, San Gwann, Arkadia in Gozo, Shoreline Mall in Kalkara and St George's Mall in St Julian's. Our Gozo guide covers the island if you are staying near Arkadia, and the Three Cities guide covers the area around Kalkara. For a day in the capital, see the Valletta guide.

Near the Centerparc store, the directory also lists Accessorize and Monsoon Children clothing and, for activities elsewhere on the island, the Adventure Hub children's activities page. More ideas appear in things to do in Malta.

Planning with children

Beach and garden toys are easy to add to the suitcase on arrival, and our best beaches in Malta and Malta weather guide help choose the right month. For the wider plan, see our Malta holidays overview and flights to Malta.
