Krea

Krea has been making kitchens and bedrooms for Maltese homes since 2003, from a showroom on Mdina Road in Qormi. Its approach is simple: choose a design you like, then adjust sizes, colours and layout until it fits your room, with prices aimed at value rather than luxury.

Because almost everything is customisable, Krea suits UK buyers who want a new kitchen or fitted bedrooms in a Maltese flat or villa without commissioning a cabinet maker. It sits in our directory of furniture shops in Malta, and the showroom is on the main road running towards the walled city described in our Mdina guide.

Kitchens

The kitchen range runs from small linear kitchens to spacious L-shaped ones, in fixed and modular versions. Prices on the site are quoted for a specific layout, so read the description. The Lyanna modular kitchen, for example, is €1,399.00 for a linear composition 255 cm wide, comes in over 25 colours or colour combinations, and has handleless sprayed doors with glass cabinet options. It is listed as deliverable in as little as 29 working days.

Other kitchens include the Dema fixed kitchen at €899.00 (reduced from €1,060.00), the Nico fixed kitchen at €999.00 and the Helsinki modular kitchen at €1,999.00. Whichever you prefer, the team can tailor sizes, style, colour and layout to your room.

Bedrooms, beds and wardrobes

Bedrooms are the biggest category, with main bedrooms, children's bedrooms, upholstered beds and walk-in wardrobes. Modular bedrooms such as Fiora are priced for a typical composition: €1,445.00 covers a six-door wardrobe, a double bed, a chest of three drawers and nightstands, and individual wardrobe sections are priced separately, for instance a two-door wardrobe at €284 and a six-door at €747.

Beds start low: the Flexy bed is €225.00, the Compact Bed €499.00 and the Melia bed €525.00. Valeria is a walk-in wardrobe at €675.00. A laundry unit called Anywhere Laundry is also part of the range. Delivery of some solutions can take as little as three days, according to the Krea promise of fast turnaround.

The Krea promise

Krea sums up what it offers in three ideas. The first is speed, with solutions that can arrive in days rather than months. The second is variety, meaning endless customisation so your space is uniquely yours down to the last detail. The third is value, described as top quality and design without sacrificing your savings. Exceptional service is its norm and honesty is its policy, and it supports customers from the first appointment through to after-sales help.

The owners describe the two decades since 2003 as constant evolution: tracking trends, improving the customer experience and keeping prices in line with mainland Europe. That mix of quick delivery and tailoring is what makes a showroom like this useful for people furnishing a property on a deadline, such as a buy-to-let or a new family home.

Appointments and planning your project

Krea offers booked design slots in three forms: a custom kitchen designed with an expert, a bedroom designed with a designer, and a whole apartment designed room by room. A free consultation with the sales team is the usual starting point, and a catalogue can be viewed online or ordered as a free printed copy.

If you are relocating from the UK, our Malta relocation guide explains the move, and the Malta weather guide helps you plan around summer heat. Cooling specialists such as Able Ltd for air conditioning and AC Service Malta are in our directory, and A-Store for electronics may help with appliances. The 24/7 Fitness Club in Żebbuġ is the closest gym listing, and 2B Gallery is worth a look for art. For a day out afterwards, read the Valletta guide.
