Lily Agius Gallery is a contemporary fine art gallery that has presented exhibitions since 2011. It is a nomad gallery, which means that shows have moved between venues rather than staying in one fixed space, and the gallery's own address today is in Floriana, the elegant suburb that sits just outside Valletta's city gates.

It is listed on VisitMalta.co.uk among our art galleries in Malta. If you are planning a city break that mixes art with sightseeing, our Valletta guide covers the capital next door.

A nomad gallery with an international roster

Past exhibitions have taken place in Sliema, in Valletta at the Malta Society of Arts and at Bottega Art Bistro, and in Floriana at the Green Shutters space. Titles include Hover-Still, Elective Affinity, Forest Fresh, Flight and Other Stories, and a French collective show, which gives a sense of how broad the programme is.

The gallery works with a large portfolio of international artists, and the artists page names Eiko Borcherding, Stephanie Galea, Luca Indraccolo, Sky Ferrante, Bertrand Peyrot, Ivan Prieto, Sahhara and Julien Vinet. Recent exhibitions have featured the Maltese-based charcoal artist and object maker CO-MA. Between gallery visits, our guide to things to do in Malta and our page on St John's Co-Cathedral are good ways to fill out a day in the capital.

Buying art: originals, prints and sculpture

The online shop is organised by category: drawings, limited edition prints, paintings, photography and sculpture. Prices run from €60 for a small limited edition print up to €16,000 for a large original painting, and every work is listed with its price, medium and size where available. Limited edition prints show an edition number, and items such as the CO-MA drawings are described as signed, ready to hang and supplied with a certificate of authenticity.

Beyond the shop, the gallery helps clients find the right pieces for their needs, whether that means improving an existing collection or starting one from scratch. Collectors can also join the newsletter to hear about new works and receive invitations to exhibition openings. If a piece is a gift or souvenir after a trip, our Malta holidays overview helps with planning the visit.
