Malta Sailing Adventures runs private, crewed yacht charters for up to 10 guests aboard RENEE 4, a Beneteau Oceanis 50, from Gardens Yacht Marina in Gżira. It offers full-day and half-day charters, sunset cruises and wine tasting cruises, and enquiries go through the VisitMalta.co.uk form on this page.
Malta Sailing Adventures offers private yacht charters from Gardens Yacht Marina in Gżira, on the north side of Marsamxett Harbour close to Sliema and Valletta. Every trip is for your group alone, aboard RENEE 4, a crewed Beneteau Oceanis 50 that takes up to 10 guests. Children are welcome, and the day can be shaped around swimming, snorkelling, sightseeing or simply relaxing on deck.
The company is listed in our directory of boat charter companies in Malta. It was set up as a more personal alternative to large-fleet operators and crowded shared boat trips, and the focus is on quieter bays.
The charters on offer
A full-day charter lasts eight hours, from 09:00 to 17:00, and heads for Gozo, Comino and the Blue Lagoon or quieter anchorages around Malta. Our Blue Lagoon guide and Gozo guide show what is on the route. A half-day charter lasts four hours, either 09:00 to 13:00 or 14:00 to 18:00, and suits swimming, snorkelling, family time or corporate hospitality.
A private sunset cruise lasts about two and a half hours, from 19:00 to 21:30 in summer, and sails around Grand Harbour, for couples, celebrations, client entertainment and small groups. Wine tasting cruises are offered too. Routes follow the weather, sea conditions and your wishes, so the skipper may vary the plan on the day. For history along the water, our Three Cities guide, Valletta guide and Vittoriosa guide describe what you will see from the deck.
What is included
Each charter includes private use of the yacht for the agreed hours, fuel for the whole trip, a professional licensed skipper, a hostess who also acts as chef and mixologist, unlimited drinking water, two stand-up paddle boards, four air loungers and four sets of snorkelling equipment. Ask for a quote through the enquiry form.
Extras include food, alcohol, use of the RIB and any loss or damage to equipment caused by guests. Staying out beyond the agreed time costs €100 per hour. You can bring your own food and drink, or ask for platters, salads, cheese and fruit plates, selected wines, champagne and cocktails, which may be charged separately. A range of soft drinks, beers, wines, spirits and mixers is also on sale on board. You do not need any sailing experience, though guests who want to try the helm can ask the skipper to show them.
Booking, deposits and refunds
Bookings can be made up to 48 hours ahead, and the team normally confirms within 24 hours. A deposit of 30% is due within seven days of booking and the balance within 14 days of the charter date. If you book within 14 days of the date, the full cost is payable. Deposits are fully refundable on cancellation within two weeks of the charter date or when bad weather stops the trip and no new date can be found.
The summer months give the longest evenings for sunset cruises, and our Malta weather guide shows what to expect by month. For time ashore, try things to do in Malta or the best beaches in Malta, and use our flights to Malta guide to plan your arrival.
Planning an enquiry
Say how many guests are coming, which charter you prefer and your preferred dates. Families can ask how the day will be adapted for children, couples can ask about the sunset cruise, and corporate groups can ask about hospitality days on the water. A member of the team then gets in touch to confirm the booking and discuss options and preferences for the charter, such as food and drink, the route and any special requests. To start, use the VisitMalta.co.uk enquiry form on this page and we will pass your message to Malta Sailing Adventures.
