UNO Malta is an open-air nightclub and festival venue at Crafts Village in Ta' Qali, Attard, with four separate spaces and room for up to 8,000 guests. It hosts international club nights, festivals and venue hire, and enquiries can be sent through the VisitMalta.co.uk enquiry form on this page.
UNO Malta is a large open-air nightclub and festival venue set among the greenery of Ta' Qali, near Attard in the centre of the island. It describes itself as the home of Malta's international nightlife, and it is the island's biggest open-air venue, spread over 70,000 square feet. For a UK visitor used to indoor city clubs, the difference is striking: warm Mediterranean nights, big stages, serious sound and a programme that pulls in clubbers from across Europe.
The venue is listed on VisitMalta.co.uk under nightclubs in Malta and entertainment venues in Malta. This page explains what UNO offers, how its four spaces differ, what the entry rules are, how to get there and how to ask a question before you travel.
A multi-venue open-air destination
UNO is designed as a collection of four distinct spaces rather than one big room. Two of them stay fully operational through the cooler months, so the venue can keep running its programme all year rather than closing for winter. Sound comes from Funktion-One systems, backed by immersive lighting and large-scale production.
The Main Room is the headline space: the largest open-air dance floor on the island, built for more than 5,000 people and the stage for sold-out festivals and big club nights. Treehaus sits just steps away, a forest-wrapped, all-weather tented arena that is open to the sky in summer and sheltered in winter. Roots is a smaller, futuristic outdoor clubbing space where lighting and setting create a closer, high-energy atmosphere. Heart is a sleek indoor area for up to 300 guests, aimed at people who want something deeper and more exclusive.
Across all four clubs the venue holds up to 8,000 people. Every area, including the Main Room, its VIP upper deck, Treehaus, Heart and Roots, is wheelchair accessible.
Music, festivals and big-name events
The programme is wide. UNO mixes house and techno with reggaeton and commercial party anthems, so there is something for most tastes in a single season. After a full refurbishment and relaunch in 2016, the venue began welcoming international headliners, and it now hosts well-known club brands and festivals, including Abode, Anjunadeep, Defected, elrow, Fisher's Triip Festival and Our House, among many others.
The events calendar looks well into the future. At the time we checked, the listings included a 90s and 2000s night called Reloaded on 24 October 2026, a Halloween rave on 30 October 2026, the Lights Out Reunion on 28 November 2026, and multi-day festival weekends planned for 2027: WAH Malta from 29 April to 2 May, RONG Malta from 6 to 9 May, NEXUP Malta from 11 to 13 June and Defected Malta from 29 September to 3 October. Dates and line-ups can change, so confirm them before you book flights.
If you are building a holiday around a festival, our guide to flights to Malta shows the routes from the UK, and the Malta weather guide will help you judge what the evenings feel like at different times of year.
Tickets, entry rules and what to bring
Tickets are checked and scanned at the door and can be printed or shown on a mobile phone. Tickets bought through the UNO website are issued by the ticketing provider Tixify, and for any other purchase you should use an authorised agent for that show, which the promoter can confirm. If a ticket has a name on it, you must show photographic ID in the same name. Only a valid passport, a foreign national ID card or a driving licence is accepted as ID and proof of age, so UK visitors should bring one of these rather than a photocopy.
Searching is a condition of entry. Full body and bag searches are carried out before admission, and refusing a search means you will not be let in. Once you leave, you cannot come back in. The venue has a strict zero-tolerance drugs policy: anyone found with illegal substances is refused entry or ejected and may face prosecution. Many shows have a last entry time, so check it before you buy.
Bags and rucksacks larger than A4 (21cm by 30cm) are not allowed, and outside food and drink is not permitted. The prohibited list also covers light-up devices, professional cameras, bottles, horns, whistles and drums, among other items. Food vendors on site include vegan and vegetarian options, and both cash and card are accepted. Smoking and vaping are allowed only in the designated outdoor smoking areas. If a ticketed event is cancelled, refunds follow the promoter's terms, so contact the promoter or your ticket agent.
Getting to Ta' Qali
UNO is at Crafts Village in Ta' Qali, Attard, a landmark area reached from Vjal l-Istadium Nazzjonali or the Hemsija road. It is roughly central in Malta, which makes it practical from most resort areas. Bus routes 56, 186 and 202 stop at Villagg, directly outside the main entrance. A taxi pick-up and drop-off area is at the same entrance, and the venue suggests searching for UNO Malta in the Bolt taxi app.
There are no parking spaces at the venue itself, though two third-party car parks operate close by. If you are staying on the north-east coast, our guide to hotels in Sliema and St Julian's covers that area, and where to stay in Malta compares the others. Staying nearer to Ta' Qali is possible too: see hotels in Mdina and Rabat and our Mdina guide for the old walled city a short distance away.
A late finish is easier to enjoy when the rest of the day is planned. Many guests treat the evening as the centrepiece of a short break, spending the morning on a beach or in a town and keeping the afternoon free to rest before travelling out to Ta' Qali. Daytime sightseeing fits easily around a night out. Our Valletta travel guide and things to do in Malta give plenty of ideas for the hours before the gates open.
VIP bookings, venue hire and private viewings
UNO takes VIP bookings through a dedicated route, and its contact options separate a VIP booking enquiry from a venue booking. If you want a table, tell the team the event, your date and the size of your group when you ask.
The venue is also a hybrid, flexible space that can be hired for almost any kind of event: conferences, exhibitions, brand and product launches, corporate parties, culture and ticketed events, fashion shows, awards and dinners, filming, photography and set builds. A private viewing or virtual tour of the space can be arranged for organisers who want to see it first.
Lost property is handled by email after an event and held for up to three weeks, with valuable items kept longer; passports, IDs and phones that are not collected in that time are securely disposed of. The venue is not responsible for personal items lost on site.
How to start an enquiry
If you are a UK visitor planning a trip around a festival, a group organiser, or a company looking at the space for an event, the quickest first step is to tell the team what you need. Include the date or event name, the number of people and whether you want tickets, a VIP table or a hire quotation. For wider holiday planning, our Malta holidays overview and guide to hotels across Malta are a good starting point.
Use the VisitMalta.co.uk enquiry form on this page and we will pass your message to UNO Malta, whose team will reply to you directly.
