Beauty Bay Malta is a lash, brow and skin studio in Birkirkara, in the middle of the island and a short drive from Valletta, Sliema and the airport. A classic set costs €80, a light volume set €90, a wet look or wispy wet set €95, a medium or full volume set €100 and the wispy chunky look €110. Mega volume and wispy volume sets are the most detailed and take 2 hours 15 minutes. Infills for an existing set start from €55, and removal costs €20.

If you would rather not have extensions, the studio also offers a Korean or InLei lash lift and tint, which takes about an hour, and a combined lash lift, tint and brow lamination that takes around an hour and a quarter. The studio's online shop sells lash tools and supplies, such as brushes, tape, applicators, gel patches, primer and cream remover, as well as lash beds and pillows to order.

Eyebrows and threading

Brow services range from quick maintenance to longer-lasting work. Eyebrow threading costs €10, brow and upper lip threading €12 and full face threading €22. InLei brow lamination, which sets the hairs in a smooth, groomed direction, is €55, and a long-lasting brow tint and shaping carried out by the master is €30.

For a visitor, threading is a quick treatment that takes 10 to 20 minutes, while lamination and tinting suit anyone planning a longer stay or a trip to the beach, where fuss-free brows help.

Permanent make-up

Permanent make-up is the studio's headline speciality, with prices starting from €150 on the home page and set out in full on the booking list. Eyebrow permanent make-up takes two hours and costs €275, and the menu also includes powder semi-permanent brows and nano hair strokes. For lips there are lip blush and a lipstick effect treatment, both priced at €295.

Touch-ups are listed separately: €65 for brows or lips and €175 for the yearly refresh. If you want an existing treatment lightened or removed, a permanent make-up remover or laser session costs €60. Facials start from €60 and are tailored to the skin, from anti-ageing treatments to anti-acne facials. A package of three micro needling and BioRePeel CL3 sessions costs €400. The menu also lists a Hollywood carbon laser peel, scar reduction and a luxury pre-party beauty booster.

The studio is at 338 Triq Fleur-de-Lys, Birkirkara, open Tuesday to Friday from 9am to 6pm and Saturday from 8am to 5pm.
