Claire and her training

Claire began practising yoga in 2000 and studied business management, graduating in 2001, before spending more than ten years in the corporate world. She then moved towards yoga, embodiment and body-based healing. She is an E-RYT 500 teacher registered with Yoga Alliance, and she is also a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider.

Her studies include a diploma in yoga, anatomy and physiology from the Kevala Institute in the UK, and a Yoga Alliance certification in Kriya yoga, Tantra and meditation from the Yogananda School of Yoga. She also holds certifications in somatic embodiment and regulation strategies. Her teaching draws on mentors including Shakti Malan, Linda Thai, Chameli Ardagh and Francesca Gentile, blended with her own intuitive approach. For UK visitors who want a teacher with a long track record, it is a clear picture of what to expect.

Weekly classes and one to one sessions

The weekly timetable at Yoga Space has six classes. Five run in the early evening between 18:00 and 20:30, and one runs from 10:00 to 11:00, which suits anyone arriving on holiday who prefers a morning practice. Each class lasts an hour. They are designed to release tension and tightness through yoga movements, breathwork, somatic practices and meditation, and are gentle enough for people who are new to yoga.

Claire also offers one to one embodiment journeys, tailored to your own body, life and nervous system. People choose these to ease stress and anxiety, to feel less disconnected, to balance the nervous system or to explore their purpose. These sessions are a form of yoga and guided practice rather than medical treatment, and prices are not published, so ask when you enquire. For a quiet day beyond the studio, our things to do in Malta guide has ideas.

Women's circles, workshops and retreats

Once a month the studio holds Wild Woman intimate circles, a space for women to explore topics such as womb healing, nervous system regulation, emotional alchemy and trauma healing through embodiment movement, somatic practices and guided meditation. Workshops and retreats are announced to newsletter subscribers.

The retreats are described as a mix of relaxation, fun and joy, with a strong sense of community. If you are building a stay around one, look at the where to stay in Malta guide to choose an area, and read the Mdina guide for the walled city a few minutes from Mosta. Our Malta weather guide helps you time a visit.

Nearby places and getting here

The studio is a short drive from several other directory businesses. Adventure Hub offers children's activities less than a kilometre away, and Agenda Bookshop is a few kilometres off. If you are arriving from Britain, start with the flights to Malta page and the Valletta guide for the capital.

There is also an online sanctuary and a free guided meditation to download, so you can start practising before you travel or keep going once you are home.
