PestX Solutions

PestX Solutions Malta is a pest control company in Santa Venera, a town in the central part of Malta that sits only a few minutes from Valletta. The team works as expert exterminators and focuses on reliable solutions for German cockroaches, one of the most stubborn household pests on the islands, along with other kinds of infestation.

This page is written for UK readers who may be dealing with a pest problem in a home they own, a rental, a holiday property or a small business in Malta, and who want to know what to expect before they get in touch.

Who PestX Solutions is

The business began in 2013 under the name Competitive Pest Services. In 2018 it became known as Odis Pest Control, and it later adopted the name PestX Solutions. Each change reflected a wish to bring better knowledge to the treatment of every kind of pest problem, with professional methods and the best chemicals available on the market.

That history is worth knowing because older references in Malta may use a previous name. If you have seen the company mentioned as Odis Pest Control or Competitive Pest Services, this is the same business.

You can see other firms offering similar services in our pest control directory for Malta, which is helpful if you want to compare more than one quote.

German cockroaches and other pests

The website's headline promise is a reliable solution for German cockroaches. These small, fast moving insects favour warm, humid spaces, so kitchens, bathrooms and food storage areas are typical trouble spots. They breed quickly, which is why a single sighting is usually worth acting on promptly.

The company also deals with pests beyond cockroaches, and it treats all kinds of pest problems. The exact list of species is not itemised on the site, so ask about your particular problem, whether it is ants, rodents, fleas or something else, when you request a quote.

Malta's climate plays a part. Warm summers suit insects, and our Malta weather guide shows how long the hot season lasts. If you are exploring the islands too, our things to do in Malta page shows how busy the summer season is. Anyone staying through the summer in a flat or house, particularly on the ground floor or near a restaurant, may find that pests are more noticeable in those months.

How a job works

The process begins with a free quote. The website has a form where you can give your name, contact details and the address of the property, and you can also attach files, which is useful for sending photographs of the problem. A customer account area lets people manage bookings online.

The team stays in constant communication with customers until the job is done. For a visitor or new resident, that is a practical advantage: you can explain when you will be away, and agree timing around check in or check out dates.

If you are new to Malta, our Malta relocation guide explains how to get established, our about Malta page gives an overview of the islands, and the where to stay in Malta guide helps you choose an area before you take a property.

Santa Venera and the surrounding area

Santa Venera is a residential town with busy main roads that connect the capital with the towns to the west. It is a short journey to the capital, Valletta, and the walled city of old Mdina lies further inland. The harbour towns on the other side of the Grand Harbour are covered in our Three Cities guide.

The company's coverage area is not set out on the website, so confirm whether it will visit your location, whether that is in the harbour area, the north or Gozo, before booking.

Starting your enquiry

Getting a pest problem under control is easier if you describe it clearly: what you have seen, where, how often and for how long. Mention whether pets or children are in the property, and say when you can give access. If you are away in the UK, our guide to flights to Malta may help you plan when you can be there.

Use the VisitMalta.co.uk enquiry form on this page and we will pass your message to the company.
